Faculty Positions in the Graduate School of Quantum Science and Technology
(GSQST) at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)
The Graduate School of Quantum Science and Technology (GSQST) at KAIST invites
applications for tenure-track or tenured faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or
Full Professor level. Outstanding candidates across all ranks and research backgrounds
will receive full consideration.
GSQST invites applications from candidates with established or emerging research
programs in quantum science and engineering. The school seeks applicants whose work
advances fundamental understanding and technological development in quantum
systems through approaches that integrate theory, experiment, and engineering.
Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, quantum algorithms and
quantum information theory, quantum sensing and metrology, physical implementations
of quantum computing platforms, and architectures for quantum computing, networking,
and sensing. Applications are also encouraged from candidates working at the interface
of quantum science and artificial intelligence, including Quantum for AI and AI for
Quantum methodologies.
GSQST aims to establish global leadership in quantum science and technology by
advancing both fundamental discovery and scalable technological innovation while
educating and mentoring future leaders in the quantum workforce.
Applicants should demonstrate an outstanding academic record, a clear and compelling
vision for an innovative research program, and a strong commitment to high-quality
education and mentorship. Candidates appointed at the Associate or Full Professor level
are additionally expected to demonstrate leadership in large-scale collaborative research
initiatives. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering, or a closely related field.

list, 2) a list of three references (contact information), 3) PDF copies of five selected
publications, and 4) a filled official application form with a statement of research
interests (no more than 5 pages) and a statement of teaching plan (no more than 2
pages).
